The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit currently has two state-certified alternative sentencing /accountability court programs for non-violent offenders. The Office of the District Attorney participated in the implementation of both programs and continues to serve on the staff. These programs are designed to keep people OUT of the criminal justice system while still holding them accountable. Successful completion of these programs replaces jail time with community service, drug and alcohol testing, counseling and supervision.
